The tour is back on the road! After a year without a tour, the USKO can once again go all out abroad from April 13-21, 2024. With a tour bus, members, soloists, conductor, instruments, and a lot of enthusiasm will travel through three beautiful countries: Germany, Slovenia, and Croatia. In the cities of Munich, Ljubljana, and Pula, the USKO will perform J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion (Johannes-Passion), one of Bach’s big three works that are an important part of the USKO’s identity.

The concerts will take place on April 14 in Munich, April 17 in Ljubljana, and April 19 in Pula. The solo roles in the St. John Passion will be performed by Dierick Aartsen as evangelist, Stefan Wouters as Christ, Valérie Stammet as soprano, Hanno Egger as countertenor, Koen Masteling as tenor, and Nico Graat as bass, with Hannah Muis on the Viola da Gamba. All under the direction of Stijn Berkouwer!

There is still a lot of organizing and arranging to be done, but in any case, the travel committee is already looking forward to it!

With many thanks to: Parnassos Culture Center, Utrecht University
