Dutch students perform J.S. Bachs St. Matthew Passion

On 14, 16, 17 and 20 April 2019 the Dutch student ensemble USKO (Utrecht Student Choir and Orchestra), consisting of 100 enthusiastic musicians of Utrecht University, will perform the St. Matthew Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The USKO occupies a unique place within the Dutch music world because of the
combination of a relatively large choir and orchestra, the youthfulness and enthusiasm of its members and the high quality of the performances. They all share the same passion for Bach and classical music in general, and feel honored to be able to share Bach’s music with the world.
The concert is part of USKO’s annual tour (that will take place between 13 and 21 April) to Odense/Faaborg, Copenhagen and Göteborg. During this tour the members will visit cultural landmarks and rehearse and perform one of the finest pieces of classical music ever composed, inside historical venues.
